CARBON BRICKS
Carbon bricks—also known as anti-corrosive bricks—are engineered for extreme chemical resistance, thermal stability, and mechanical strength. Made from high-purity carbon materials, these bricks are widely used in chemical plants, reaction vessels, pickling tanks, and high-temperature industrial environments. Their ability to resist acids, alkalis, solvents, and thermal shock makes them indispensable in highly corrosive and demanding operations.

PRODUCT VARIANTS
Non-Impregnated Carbon Bricks
Our Non-Impregnated Carbon Bricks conform to ASTM and DIN standards and are specially designed for high corrosion resistance and excellent thermal shock resistance. These bricks are ideal for long-term exposure to highly acidic and high-temperature environments including alkalis, salts, solvents, and nitric acid up to 30% concentration.
- Features:
- ASTM C-1160 standard compliant
- Temperature resistance of 750°C and above
- Minimum carbon content: 99%
- Very low ash content: <1.0%
- Pitch bonded, low porosity and durable
- Used In:
- Phosphoric acid plants (reactors, tanks, vessels, clarifiers)
- Hydrofluoric acid (HF) & fluosilicic acid plants
- MS & stainless steel pickling plants
- Fertilizer, dye industries, and other highly corrosive chemical processes
- Zinc smelter quenching towers
- Caustic scrubbing towers, H2SO4, HCl, fluorides, and alkalis environments
- Additional: We also provide end-to-end solutions and project support for non-impervious carbon brick installations.
Impregnated Carbon Bricks
Our Phenol Impregnated Carbon Bricks are resin-bonded bricks specially developed for superior corrosion resistance, excellent thermal shock resistance, and high crushing strength. These bricks withstand temperatures up to 180°C and are ideal for acidic environments excluding alkalis, solvents, and nitric acid above 10% concentration.
- Features:
- Low porosity: 2-3%
- Average carbon content: 98%
- Low ash content: up to 1.5%
- Phenol formaldehyde resin impregnated (also available with Furane impregnation)
- Improved abrasion resistance
- Used In:
- Long-term exposure to acidic conditions (excluding alkalis, solvents, and high concentration nitric acid)
- Chemical industries requiring enhanced durability and corrosion resistance
- Note: These bricks offer enhanced mechanical and chemical stability due to impregnation.
